The sand plant reserve came from a old stream bed, that had a 20 to 30 ft thick sand deposit in it. It was sampled and the lab testing revealed that there was less than 0.03% iron, and a few other metals (TiO2, Al2O3, MgO). Yeast converts the simple sugar, dextrose, into ethanol and carbon dioxide (CO2). During fermentation the mash is agitated, to keep the yeast evenly spread throughout the mash, and it is cooled to maintain the ideal temperature for the yeast. 40 to 50 hours later, the fermentation process is completed.

The sand plant reserve came from a old stream bed, that had a 20 to 30 ft thick sand deposit in it. It was sampled and the lab testing revealed that there was less than 0.03% iron, and a few other metals (TiO2, Al2O3, MgO). Yeast converts the simple sugar, dextrose, into ethanol and carbon dioxide (CO2). During fermentation the mash is agitated, to keep the yeast evenly spread throughout the mash, and it is cooled to maintain the ideal temperature for the yeast. 40 to 50 hours later, the fermentation process is completed.
